Except that, we probably won't need the pass much on Thursday (at least,
those of us arriving Thursday afternoon or evening), and we could probably
get away with single trip tokens on that day, saving the 3 day pass for
Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Here's more confusion and questions for poor Julie-who by now no doubt
regrets she even brought up the issue, lol.

It appears neither the 3-day pass at $18, nor the Sunday to SAturday pass at
$16.50 covers Sunday, August 8. So why would I not get the $16.50 one even
if I am coming in on Thursday? (it would seem both would cover Thursday,
Friday, SAturday and none covers Sunday).

I think I understand.  Except one thing.... why is a 7-day visitor pass $35,

and a one-week combo pass equal $16.50.

The MBTA combo pass covers the bus and service (and water taxi) for Boston.

The combo pass (good from Sunday to Saturday) will cover August 4th to 
August 7th (Saturday).  It will cover the bus and subway for unlimited rides

those days, right?

This combo pass is good for the trip to Salem and back?

Cannot be used on Sunday (it will have expired) for the trip from the hotel 
to the airport, we will have to get a one-way subway token?  However, we 
could use it from the airport to the hotel on the Wednesday we arrive but we

will have to buy this pass at the airport?  If we buy it at the airport, 
will we have to pay $16.50 or is that YOUR cost?
