This creates a problem for me as the organiser. In March, I contracted = with the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown Toronto as the hotel in which = the Bash was to be based. Getting a stable price set, and sufficient = space reserved, involves a legally binding document which stipulates = penalties should the event fall significantly short of anticipated = attendance and revenue for the hotel. As a result, with the way things currently stand regarding attendance = figures (particularly the number of rooms booked), I will personally owe = the hotel approximately $7,000.00 US after all is said and done - a = figure that I can hardly afford. The only way to reduce this figure is to increase attendance, and to = fill more rooms - and the hotel has given me until July 11th to do so. = So, if any of you have been vacillating, waiting 'til the last minute, = etc - now is the time to act.
