Misconceived Error With FOTR:EE DVD

Many of you have written in to us describing a problem you have had with your Extended Edition of FOTR, where the disc appears to stall between Boromir's conversation with Aragorn and the Mirror of Galadriel. Well, TORn staffer Pippin Took points out that this is not in fact an issue with the DVD itself but with the DVD player;

'It's called a layer change, when the DVD player's laser switches from one layer of information on the disc to the second layer. This is normal, and the only way around it is to buy one of the higher-end DVD players, which are better equipped to handle the layer changes more smoothly and with less of a pause while the laser switches over.'
