Our annual gathering to toast "The Professor!" will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Celtic Tavern, 1801 Blake Street. Cake will be provided; dinner, appetizers and drinks can be ordered off the menu if desired. Some of our traditions include doing Tolkien readings, singing "Happy Birthday" in elvish, and toasting "The Professor" in Mandarin Chinese to remember our friends in Tol Eressea, our sister-smial in Taiwan.

Another tradition is our free raffle for door prizes. This year's grand prize is the new "The J.R.R. Tolkien Companion and Guide"
