Jincey's Pick for June - Calisuri @ 00:16 PST
As gung-ho Tolkien collector's we are always looking for that unique collectible that will add some real value to our collection. Well, we've found it in the fantastic LOTR pewterware made by Royal Selangor, one of our sponsors for the Oscar Party. Their items are some of the most intricate and unique Tolkien-inspired products I have seen. At the Oscar party, we had some of their 1 oz. shot glasses, so I checked them out and wanted to let everyone know what I saw.

These heavy pewter shotglasses are very detailed and range in height from 4"-5". They are inspired by the books, not the movies, for those who are interested in that type information. They are fully functional, however, I'd never use them for their intended purpose. I'd rather see them on a bookshelf or used as gamepieces on a chessboard. On the base of each shot glass I found a description of the piece written in runes and the signature of the designer. Each glass comes packed in a blue box with The Lord of the Rings logo stamped in silver, as these items are liscensed by the Tolkien Estate. The quality of these products is nothing new for Royal Selangor. I've have two of their larger goblets and was literally amazed at the workmanship.

To purchase these shot glasses visit http://www.store.yahoo.com/royal-selangor. There you will find a complete showing of all the wonderful products they offer to Tolkien collectible connoisseurs. And, good folks that they are, they are currently offering special pricing on their mini pewter goblets! (offer ends June 30th).
