Physical description: A tall man who shares the rugged look shared by many man of Bree. Cautious, inquisitive and unfriendly.
Biography: Harry Goatleaf was the gatekeeper stationed on the West-gate the night the Hobbits arrive at Bree. Immeaditely distrusted by Frodo, he gave the Hobbits a harsh welcome, suspicious of their intentions and claiming to be wary of the recent comings and goings of strangers throughout Bree in the build-up to the War of the Ring. However the intentions of Harry himself would be the ones that would come into question at the end, with Strider believing he had fallen under the power of the Ringwraiths after having a conversation with some Black Riders before the arrival of the Hobbits. It seemed increasingly likely that Goatleaf had faller 'in their clutch thanks to the power of their terror' when he left The Prancing Pony with Bill Ferny and a Southerner spy shortly after Frodo accidentally put on the One Ring.
During the War of the Ring, he assisted the minions of Saruman who invaded the Shire and its surrounding territories in murdering some of his fellow Bree-landers. His last known whereabouts were in the woods beyond Archet, living with his robbers and thieves he adied.
