Biography: Actor and director Harry Sinclair began his professional career as an actor at the Corporate Theater of Auckland. In 1984, he studied acting for a year at the Ecole Paul Gautier in Paris, a particularly productive experience for him.
Back in New Zealand, Sinclair and Don McGlashan founded Front Lawn, a theatrical and multimedia duo. They made films and records and put on shows together. They went on tour around the world and were very successful. Their main films include Walk Short (1987), Lounge Bar (1988) and Linda's Body (1990). They all won prizes in various festivals. Turning to directing, Sinclair wrote and directed two shorts in 1993: Casual Sex and Avenue du Maine ("Best Drama", Canterbury Short Film Festival 1994). Topless Women Talk About Their Lives is his first feature film.
