NZ Film Industry Celebrates Oscars in Hollywood

This time visual effects-guru Dean Wright (of Lord of the Rings-fame) talks about the difficulties of bringing a half man/half animal to the screen and in which ways CGI will be used for the film. Evanescence's Amy Lee to do Titlesong?

MyLastBreath.co.uk features a snippet from an interview with Evanescence-singer Amy Lee about her possible involvement with the movie: "Its not a whole score, but I'm doing a song for a film of CS Lewis' 'The Chronicles of Narnia'. It's great because it's going to be really creepy, which was basically my only requirement. They want me to do the one theme song that comes on at the title credits and maybe incorporate that in the score, with me doing all this vocal-ambient stuff."

This time video features interviews with director Andrew Adamson and soundbites from producer Mark Johnson, Richard Taylor (of WETA fame) and makeup-guru Howard Berger. Add to that footage from various sets like The Witch's castle and courtyard and Lantarn waste and you have three minutes of highly spoileriffic material that you don't want to miss! NY ToyFair: Hasbro provides sneak peek at Narnia-actionfigures!

Dark Horse Nabs Narnia

From Figures.com: Revealing news at Toy Fair was the announcement that Dark Horse had signed on as the exclusive distributor of upcoming product from WETA Collectibles. Collectibles will include high-end resin pieces and prints for two major 2005 motion pictures: "The Chronicles of Narnia" and "Kong: The 8th Wonder of the World;" the official title for Peter Jackson's remake of the 1933 classic "King Kong". Disney's Next Hero: A Lion King of Kings
