Well aint that great?
Lewman @ 9:42 am EST
Well I should be quite happy about the Frighteners being released, but I'm not.
Okay The Frighteners is finally going to be released on DVD on Region 2, but look at this ITS THE SAME AS THE CRAPPY REGION 1!
NO extras like the 4 hour long documentary, no commentary by Peter Jackson, NO deleted screnes, NO BLOOPERS, NOTHING BUT A FUCKING TRAILER and some production notes that no one ever reads!!
This is really crap, I mean the kind of attention Columbia Tristar have been putting with their DVDs of late (look at the Thing and Taxi Driver DVDs) has been excellent, and now they release this. It really is an insult.
Why cant Peter Jackson's films get a decent release on DVD? Who knows, but at the moment I'm pretty damn angry!

Amazing BOB entry
Lewman @ 5:23 pm EST
Just added quite simply one of the most clever entries I've seen in the BOB yet. It's a companion piece to Forgotten Silver, in the form of recently recovered diary entries.
This is a good showing of what can be done with the right kind of idea, I hope to see lots more like this coming in off you all ;)

Clockwork Orange
Lewman @ 4:28 pm EST
Okay, I know this isn't Peter J news But it is about one of my other all time faviourte films.
It looks as if after 26 years of it being withdrawn from the UK, Clockwork Orange is set to return to our screens in the new year :)
I know you Americans are laughing at us right now, but this is quite a monumental occasion, and you'll bet I'll be there first in queue to watch Stanley Kubricks masterpiece of a future Britain.

The Frighteners DVD
Lewman @ 10:18 am EST
Recieved this news from Any Miller today:
I had a nice little chat with the friendly Pioneer rep, to get an update
on what will ever come of all those great Pioneer Special Edition laserdiscs,
such as Basic Instinct, The Frighteners and Bob Roberts, to name a few. As
is usually the case, it is a licensing situation where the owner of the film
in question needs to work with Pioneer on relicensing the materials and
re-releasing it on DVD. Thankfully, some of these special editions have made
it on DVD, such as Rambling Rose and Universal's recent Liar Liar. However,
according to Pioneer, titles like The Frighteners and Bob Roberts have no real
momentum going behind them, though Artisan is apparently working on possibly
releasing Basic Instinct and The Doors sometime in the future. But when is
anybody's guess...
-----------
It seems those of us who actually want that amazing special edition on DVD
are going to have to cause a big storm to get it out.
Any chance of letting the word out, so we can convince those in control that
there is a definite market? Considering the press PJ is getting, and will no
doubt get from LOTR, it'd make great sense to release this fairly soon!
----------
Okay so guys what do you lot think? Should there be a SE of The Frighteners on DVD? If so why not leave a message on the message board. If there is enough support I will start a petition and send it to Pioneer.
LETS GET THE FRIGHTENERS SE ON DVD!

TBHL Needs YOU!
Lewman @ 6:07 am EST
While TBHL is settling back into it's home why dont we start to re-start some of the things TBHL was famous for?
So why dont you all have a go at producing some things for the BOB? I mean you can enter ANYTHING! as long as it's PJ related of course.
Why not draw a picture of Lord Crumb, or even write a song tribute to PJ?
Send them all to the usual address, were looking forward to putting them up ;)
