FOTR DVD & VHS Release: Late May/Early June?
- Strider @ 19:30 PST I just noticed the fact that we can now pre-order the Art of the Fellowship of the Ring on both sides of the Atlantic now, on amazon.com and amazon.co.uk. However, I noticed some interesting differences in the amazon blurb: 1. first of all, the book will arrive in the UK before the US (20th of May instead of "June 2002".... I'm not sure what the reason is for this. 2. the UK blurb has a page count: 192 pages 3. most interestly though is the final line of the UK blurb: Published to tie-in with the launch of the video and DVD, this is the first of three books that will complete a set to accompany the film trilogy. Uhm, is this just a mistake, or do the publishers (who generally provide the blurb) know something we don't? will FotR be released in late May/early June? Also, we are in the final stages on the new poster. We're printing on a much better stock than is usually used for one sheets, so they should be really great. We hope to begin printing on Monday and will be sending e-mail to everyone who signed up during the poll letting them know when they can pre-order.

Want To Know Where Your Aragorn Toy Is?
- Xoanon @ 14:49 PST January has come and gone, and I still haven't seen the next release of LOTR action figures hit the shelves at my local store as was promised in the latest TORN report, so I e-mailed Toy Biz this morning, and I am happy to forward their prompt response to my e-mail: Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding the Lord Of The Rings action figures. The third assortment of the 6 inch figures are scheduled to be released by the end of this month. The assortment will include: Bilbo Baggins, Elrond, Aragorn, and Orc Warrior. Assortment 2 of the twin packs are expected to be released by the beginning of March. They will include: Frodo & Sam with boat and Gimli & Uruk-Hai. The second assortment of the 12 inch figures are to be released by mid April. The figures will include: Aragorn, Galadriel, and Gimli.
