Clay writes: The annual summer Boulder Outdoor Theater in Boulder, Colo. will show TTT just after dark on Saturday, Aug. 30 behind the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. There is a small charge, but not prohibitive.

Stores which broke a worldwide embargo for the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD face an investigation from the film's distributor. Retailers across the UK were selling the DVD on Friday - it was supposed to go on sale on Tuesday - after a supermarket put the film on its shelves at midnight. [More]

Elizabeth Buras, Director of �The Hobbit� writes: �The Hobbit,� a musical, is being presented by Playhouse 1960. The theatre is located at 6814 Gant in north west Houston. The show runs Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. from Aug. 30-Sept. 21, 2003. Tickets are $5. Reservations can be made at playhouse1960.com or by calling 281-58STAGE. This show is put on by a cast of 60 kids ages 7-19. They have been in rehearsal for the past 6 weeks, and the show is excellent.

V writes: I'm located in Hong Kong and when I bought the TTT there was a sticker attached about some contest at deltamac.com. All the participants have to do is answer a simple question, "what is Gollum's true name?" and they are eligible for various prizes, including an LCD monitor, a projector, and limited edition statuettes. Holly writes: I saw a display and ticket information regarding the daylong viewing, Dec. 16th for FOTR, TTT and then at 11pm ROTK while visiting Berlin this summer. It was at the (huge) Sony headquarters building in Berlin.

Eliakim wrote from Brazil, believing that New Line has no plans to sell the DVD there because there is no market. Well, it's here according to others. If he's talking about the Extended Editions, there's no word on that for either film, which seems a shame. Eliakim records [I think] that there's a petition of 7000 signatures for it.

Linuxelf writes: Pricing wars have begun in New Zealand over who is going to be the cheapest store to buy the TTT DVD from, both The Warehouse, Whitcoulls and KMart are refusing to say how much the DVD will be until tommorow morning, in order to out smart each other and give the best deal possible.

Woolworths a supermarket in NZ has already realised there prices in todays mailer. $31.95NZ for the DVD and $23.95 for the video. Noel Leeming is selling the DVD for $34.99NZ, Dick Smith electronics are selling the DVD for 4 cents cheaper at $34.95.
