Fellowship trailer with Total DVD?
8/05/01, 12:49 pm EST - Strider
UK magazine 'Total DVD' has been including a movie trailer disc for the last couple of months, which prompted me to ask whether they were attempting to get the FOTR trailer any time soon. Whilst their response wasn't conclusive, they did indicate that they are seeking to obtain permission for several blockbusters (including FOTR) and they were keeping 'mum' about this month's disc!
All UK ringers keep an eye out on your shelves this month to see if New Line gave them the go-ahead.

The September issue of the UK edition of Empire magazine has a stunning full page portrait of Hugo Weaving (Elrond). The text is nothing new but what a pic! Alas, I cannot scan it for you. Hope someone else can soon. The pic gives a good look at just how much effort has gone into visualising the characters.

ATA To View Cannes Footage?
8/03/01, 11:36 am EST - Xoanon
sends along word that the Argentinian Tolkien Society have been invited to view the 26 minutes of LOTR seen at Cannes. I'm not 100% sure this is accurate, as I heard that the footage was taken from Cannes, shown in New York, and flown back to NZ in a sealed safe, and if it is true, New Line should let some OTHER unfortunate soul who could NOT make it to Cannes to watch this footage!
