According to French-entertainment website actustar.com, Alanis Morissette will be doing her third soundtrack single this year, with Axl Rose from Guns 'N' Roses! The two will record a track together for a NEW Trilogy coming out, called "Lord of the Rings".

Behold brazilian fans! The brazilian magazine Veja, one of the biggest in Brazil, brought a small report about Tolkien and the production of the movies. The report came with a (possibly new) picture of Cate Blanchett (Galadriel) and one of the four hobbits.

While everyone else enjoys Christmas Day this year, Lord of the Rings fans will still be muttering "just one more sleep to go." Why?

Because the movie's going on general release here Boxing Day (december 26th, leo). The film's distributors have named the day for the New Zealand premiere of the first in the trilogy.

But they won't say whether Boxing Day will also be the international debut.

It's not clear if screenings may be held overseas before New Zealand gets to see it.
