Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring was nominated in one additional SAG (Screen Actors Guild) category tonight for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. However, the winner was Gosford Park. Haven't seen that one, so can't really rip into it....yet. LOL. Just kidding. Thanks to the folks in Barlimans for helping us keep on top of the winners tonight, and congratulations to Ian McKellen for his win!

MTV UK were showing a report originally conducted by MTV in the States from Toy Fair 2002, in which the reporter visited the merchandise booths of Lord of the Rings, Men In Black II, Spider-Man and Star Wars: AotC. The reporter spent about 20 seconds talking about the diorama scene from the Mines of Moria, featuring the new Gandalf figure and the amazing Balrog figure.

UPDATE: The AICN boys wrote us to inform us that 'Salome' is an inside joke and that th film screened was in actuality PJ's 'Forgotten Silver'.

FOTR Box Office: Sweden

Gustav writes: Sweden's biggest newspaper Aftonbladet reports that 1735403 Swedes have seen FOTR in theaters so far, and that the film is still in 3rd place in the weekend list after 11 weeks on release. Word from New Line quoted on Coming Attractions is that they'll try and get LOTR back in more cinemas when the TTT preview reel is released: "...we're going to switch out the last reel for Friday, March 29. On March 22 we're going to do a big push to get back into the theaters. I hope to get back to 2,000 [screens]."
