RingCon 2002 Day 1 Report!

Due to a steady flow of interest in everything Tolkien, Alliance Atlantis' Motion Picture Distribution Group announced today the extension of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS EXHIBIT. The experiential exhibition containing artefacts from New Line Cinema's theatrical production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS currently showing at the Royal Ontario Museum's former McLaughlin Planetarium was originally set to close December 1, 2002, but because of the high interest, Alliance Atlantis extended the date to December 8, 2002. The 25-year-old British actor best known as Legolas in "The Lord of the Rings" films has joined the cast of the upcoming Trojan War epic "Troy." The synopsis for TTT from UGC Cinemas in the UK uses the french names for Frodo and Saruman, it just doesn't seem that cool anymore does it?: Accompanied by Sam, Frodon Sacquet, the Hobbit continues his mission to destroy the One Ring. He must face the Dark Lord's Army and other dangers. Meanwhile, Gimli, Legolas and Aragorn must save Pippin and Merry who were captured.
