DND will be out in the US and Canada on December 8, 2000. We here at TheOneRing.net think there may be a LOTR trailer for the US release...keep your eyes open.
Well, I always say IMDB is the movie website of the GODS, but even the GODS make mistakes, or so I've been told. UK Ringers from around the fish 'n' chips region have written in to tell me they've not seen hide nor hair of DND in theatres. So I did a little more scooping and found WICO 'When's It Coming Out?', this site lists DND's release date as February 16th. Won't some caring member of the UK Theatre Popcorn Butter Management Department drop me a line?

What inspired you to become an actor?
"I think deep down I always wanted to be an actor. It was the one thing in school that I was undoubtedly enthusiastic about and good at. I coasted along being good at German, Geography, English and Football but there wasn't anything that I could really call my thing, my niche. [More]

CNN Headline News did a story on movie sequels, and the idea of shooting sequels at the same time came up, for example the next Matrix movies are being shot together, as was Back to the Future 2 and 3. They then mentioned The Lord of the Rings, and Bod Friedman of New Line talked about the benifits of shooting all the movies together, especially when using 20,000 extras. They showed a lot of the internet preview during it, with no new footage that I recognized. They usually repeat the stories every 45 minutes or so, so it will probably be on a couple more times today, but I have to go to school.

Orlando Bloom is still pinching himself.

Last year, the 23-year-old (Orlando Bloom/Legolas) was winding up a three-year theatre training course at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and pondering his future.
The day before he graduated, a telephone call from his agent changed his life. He had landed the role of the elf, Legolas, in Wellington director Peter Jackson's $360 million Lord of the Rings trilogy for New Line Cinema, based on the J. R. R. Tolkien books, being set in faraway New Zealand. [More]

IRN News
A South Island horseman is considering legal action against the makers of The Lord of the Rings, after six of his animals were injured on the set of the movie. Nelson-based horseman Ran Colgan, who took a team of seven horses on a location shoot, says conditions for on the set are too tough for them.
Mr Colgan says he is considering taking the producers to a small claims tribunal, because he was left out of pocket when his animals were vetted out of further filming. The production company couldn't be reached for comment.
