Meanwhile, we have a story from 'Arfa' who described his experience on the Twizel set in spy reports

New Line's OTHER Fantasy Film out in UK today -UPDATE-

10/20/00, 9:24 am EST - Xoanon

New Line Cinema's 'Dungeons & Dragons' film is out today in the UK. Head on over to your nearest cinema for your fantasy fix until xmas 2001!

DND will be out in the US and Canada on December 8, 2000. We here at TheOneRing.net think there may be a LOTR trailer for the US release...keep your eyes open.

UPDATE

Well, I always say IMDB is the movie website of the GODS, but even the GODS make mistakes, or so I've been told. UK Ringers from around the fish 'n' chips region have written in to tell me they've not seen hide nor hair of DND in theatres. So I did a little more scooping and found WICO 'When's It Coming Out?', this site lists DND's release date as February 16th. Won't some caring member of the UK Theatre Popcorn Butter Management Department drop me a line?

CNN Talks LOTR

10/18/00, 11:46 am EST - Xoanon

How very cool to have LOTR mentioned on CNN, the greatest of all TV Stations, I LOVE CNN, can you tell? Ah well, working on getting the clip for you folks...and those CNN people that I KNOW read this site, get back to me! :)

CNN Headline News did a story on movie sequels, and the idea of shooting sequels at the same time came up, for example the next Matrix movies are being shot together, as was Back to the Future 2 and 3. They then mentioned The Lord of the Rings, and Bod Friedman of New Line talked about the benifits of shooting all the movies together, especially when using 20,000 extras. They showed a lot of the internet preview during it, with no new footage that I recognized. They usually repeat the stories every 45 minutes or so, so it will probably be on a couple more times today, but I have to go to school.

Sean Bean Biography Published

Thought you might be interested to know there is a new biography of Sean Bean (Boromir) available. The unofficial biography has been written by Laura Jackson, who has also written biographies of Queen, Ewan McGregor, and other celebrities. There apparently isn't too much info about LOTR since the bio focuses on Sean's career up to this point, but LOTR is mentioned. You can get more info here at The Compleat Sean Bean

Piatkus Books, the publisher in the UK, has also set up a page.

Horseman Angry At Lord Of Rings

IRN News

A South Island horseman is considering legal action against the makers of The Lord of the Rings, after six of his animals were injured on the set of the movie. Nelson-based horseman Ran Colgan, who took a team of seven horses on a location shoot, says conditions for on the set are too tough for them.

Mr Colgan says he is considering taking the producers to a small claims tribunal, because he was left out of pocket when his animals were vetted out of further filming. The production company couldn't be reached for comment.

A mysterious email came across my desk this evening from a 'John Doe' (I wonder if he's related to the American 'Doe's' from the town of 'Unknown').
